The President of Malta visits Bristow Potteries - 2006 05 10

The President of Malta, H.E. Dr. Edward Fenech and Mrs. Mary Fenech Adami, today, visited Bristow Potteries at Ta' Qali Crafts Village in appreciation of the company’s commitment to create awareness towards the development of artisan ceramic handicraft in Malta. Ceramic art is regarded as a national heritage, influenced by the surrounding cultural development in the Mediterranean region.

The Board of Directors, Adrian Grima, Mark Grima, David Grima and Brian Grima accompanied by their wives escorted the President and his wife to a tour of the production plant with an introductory presentation of the historical milestones exhibited along the viewing passageway starting from the Founder Francis Grima 35 years ago.

The highlight of the visit was the interest of the President in the production process of this ancient craft and the talented company’s artisans, while they were hand painting the classical and contemporary designs that Bristow Potteries produces and displays in its shopping gallery at Ta’ Qali production plant, Luxe Pavilion Portomaso and the Valletta Waterfront.
